Iowa State fans should be soaking up every moment right now as current starting quarterback Brock Purdy has already earned himself the status as the Cyclones top signal-caller in program history.

In just two seasons, Purdy already ranks third in program history with 6,232 passing yards and 43 touchdowns.

Purdy led the Cyclones to the Alamo Bowl in 2018 and in 2019, he set the program’s single-season passing yard record with 3,982 yards and single-season passing touchdown record with 27. He added 249 yards on the ground with eight rushing touchdowns to earn second-team All-Big 12 honors as the Cyclones reached the Camping World Bowl, where they fell to Notre Dame.

With two years left of eligibility, Purdy is on pace to easily shatter the program’s all-time passing yard and passing touchdowns records and has a chance to be the highest quarterback drafted in Iowa State’s history.
