Scott Satterfield is entering his second season as Louisville football coach and there’s a good chance the Cardinals will contend in the ACC.

Hope was the main theme of Louisville football heading into the 2019 season when Scott Satterfield took over a broken program left behind by Bobby Petrino.

The Cardinals were coming off a 2-10 season and had no true resolution at quarterback nor did the roster look all that stout. But then Satterfield made the most of what he was given, developed some young guys and now the second-year head coach heads into 2020 with one of the best teams in the ACC while recruiting at a high level.

Louisville finished the 2019 season with a surprising 8-5 record which included a 38-28 win over Mississippi State in the Music City Bowl and there’s a belief that the Cardinals are going to be one of the best teams in the conference in 2020.

Micale Cunningham returns as one of the best quarterbacks in the ACC, Javian Hawkins is an all-conference running back and Tutu Atwell is one heck of an offensive weapons.

Defensively, this team could afford to improve drastically as it finished ranked in the 100s in rushing defense, scoring defense and total defense.

What about the schedule? Louisville has a favorable slate which could help it reach 10 wins.

How do those opponents ranks in terms of toughness?
