North Carolina State is one of the projected teams to finish near the bottom of the ACC and when you look at what the Wolfpack have returning in 2020, that’s not a huge shock.

The Wolfpack lose Matthew McKay at quarterback but bring back sophomore Devin Leary. He wasn’t an eye-popping talent in 2019, but if he gets enough help from guys like Bam Knight, Jordan Houston, Emeka Emezie and Devin Carter, this team could have a serviceable offense. The defense, however, will be an issue.

Look for Dave Doeren to be on the hot seat once again.

AJ Dillon’s departure probably has a bigger effect on this program than Steve Addazio’s and that shouldn’t surprise anyone because the latter was the king of average football.

That means Boston College will have to find a new workhorse running back and that will likely be junior David Bailey who rushed for 844 yards last season. Anthony Brown also left the program early via transfer which means the Eagles will have to rely on junior quarterback Dennis Grosel to take the reins — or will Phil Jurkovec get a waiver?

Jeff Hafley and the Eagles are undergoing a massive rebuild.
