Defending champion LSU football has an uphill battle to repeat in 2020 and its regular season slate alone won’t be easy to navigate.

It’s hard to find a defending champion with the odds stacked so far against them, then the LSU Tigers entering 2020.

LSU went a perfect 15-0 as they dominated a loaded SEC slate and defending champion Clemson en route to a national championship.

However, the team lost a whopping 14 players to the 2020 NFL Draft, including Heisman winner and first overall draft pick Joe Burrow.

In 2020, LSU will have to take on their normally loaded SEC slate with an inexperienced quarterback in Myles Brennan and several new starters, but many of them were highly-rated recruits that many expect to allow the Tigers to reload rather than reload.

In order to repeat, the Tigers will have to navigate a brutal SEC schedule and take on a fierce non-conference opponent from the Big 12.

Here’s how their 2020 opponents rank by toughness.
