Nov. 21. University Park (Penn.). Maryland Terrapins. player. 824. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 8

Maryland head coach Mike Locksley will be hoping that his second season will be much better than his first. The Terrapins have only earned one victory over Penn State since moving to the Big Ten and they have only had one winning season in that time as well.

Penn State has dominated Maryland since their move to the Big Ten and they will hope to continue that trend in 2020.

If Maryland wants to improve on their 3-9 record from a season ago, they will need to get better play from the quarterback position. Josh Jackson was well thought of when he transferred to Maryland from Virginia Tech, but after completing only 47 percent of his passes last season, he will be under a lot of pressure to improve or Maryland could turn to Taulia Tagovailoa.

Maryland is going to improve under Locksley, but their record might not indicate it in 2020. Penn State wins big here.

Michigan State Spartans. player. 805. Scouting Report. University Park (Penn.). 7. Pick Analysis. Nov. 14

Michigan State will be an interesting team to keep an eye on during the 2020 season. The Spartans will have a new head coach in Mel Tucker and they will be missing several starters from the team last year. Michigan State will need to improve on offense by a large margin if they want to have any success against a very tough schedule.

Michigan State has played Penn State tough over the years and the Nittany Lions always have to be ready when playing the Spartans, as the green and white has won three out of the last five.

By the time that these two teams play in November, Michigan State should have formed an identity under their new head coach and will be looking to make some noise in the Big Ten East. Penn State should not take this game lightly.
