With a senior quarterback and one of the best offensive lines in football, Notre Dame football will look to make a return trip to the playoff.

For all the talk about how Notre Dame can’t win a big game or how fraudulent the nation perceives them to be every season, head coach Brian Kelly has the Irish enjoying a great amount of success and arguably the best they have been since they won their last national championship in 1988.

Notre Dame has won 10 or more games in four of the last five seasons and they are poised to make it five of the last six in 2020.

The Fighting Irish got a big boost when senior quarterback Ian Book decided that he would return for another season in South Bend.

Some big questions that the Irish will have to face will be replacing their top two offensive weapons in tight end Cole Kmet and wide receiver Chase Claypool, who are both in the NFL now.

Two of the Irish’s best defensive players, defensive end Julian Okwara and defensive back Troy Pride Jr., are also off to the NFL and Notre Dame will have to figure out quickly how to replace all the production and big plays that all four of those players brought to the team.

Here’s how I see Notre Dame’s 2020 season playing out.
