Miami Football: Game-by-game predictions for 2020 season

After another successful offseason, Miami football is hoping that this new batch of transfers and some coaching changes will translate to on-field success.

At this time last season, it seemed like Miami football had enough positive momentum after landing some key transfers and remaking the offensive coaching staff. However, 2019 was an embarrassment for the football program, going 6-7 and losing the final three games of the season against Florida International, Duke and Louisiana Tech.

Manny Diaz had to shake up things on the offensive side of the football, firing offensive coordinator Dan Enos and bringing in SMU’s Rhett Lashlee, who will bring the spread to the team, which is something that Hurricanes fans have been clamoring for for quite some time.

After bringing in transfers such as quarterback Tate Martell and defensive end Trevon Hill, Miami is once again turning to the transfer portal to bring in some impact players. Former Houston quarterback D’Eriq King to ignite the offense and former Temple defensive end Quincy Roche to team up with Gregory Rousseau to form the most dynamic pass rushing duo in the country.

The Canes are hoping to solve their special teams woes by bringing in former Florida International kicker Jose Borregales to fix what was a major issue last season.

Diaz will need to show improvement or the already warm seat will get even hotter down in Coral Gables. Here’s how I think Miami’s 2020 season will play out
