Miami Football: Game-by-game predictions for 2020 season
For a very brief period of time, Manny Diaz was named the head coach of the Temple Owls. After a shocking turn of events, Mark Richt retired and Diaz was brought back, after serving as his defensive coordinator while he was at Miami.
Another angle of intrigue for this game will be defensive end Quincy Roche, who transferred to Miami after posting 13 sacks in 2019 for Temple and was the AAC’s defensive player of the year.
These two teams have not met since 2005, when both programs were apart of the Big East. Miami is 13-1 all time vs the Owls and I think that they will make it 14-1 in 2020.
All eyes will be on the Miami offense and D’Eriq King and they will have a fantastic debut and get started on the right foot in 2020.
Temple returns 14 starters, including eight on offense. The Owls will have a bad taste in their mouth after getting destroyed by North Carolina in their bowl game last season. Temple will compete in the AAC, but the Canes get the victory here.
Final Score: Miami 38, Temple 20 (1-0)
I won’t be too long on this one. You can name Miami’s margin of victory here, as Wagner is a lower tier FCS program and honestly it is kind of embarrassing that the Hurricanes are even playing Wagner. Canes fans will just hope for the offense to keep improving and avoid any injuries on the team during this one.
Final Score: Miami 70, Wagner 3 (2-0)
