The Huskers lone “cupcake” game of the 2020 season is far more challenging than many other teams’ will face in similar matchups around the country as they’ll welcome the South Dakota State Jackrabbits to Lincoln.

South Dakota State put together an 8-5 season in 2019 and will look to reach the FCS Postseason in 2020.

While the Jackrabbits won’t lay down, the Huskers have more than enough talent to earn a confidence boosting win and pick up a second straight victory.

Final Score: Nebraska 38 , South Dakota State 17 (2-1)

Cincinnati Bearcats. 4. player. 830. Pick Analysis. Sept. 26. Lincoln (Neb.). Scouting Report

Nebraska’s brutal 2020 schedule features not only one strong group of five foe but two as they’ll take on the defending American Athletic East champion Cincinnati Bearcats in Lincoln.

The Bearcats put together an 11-3 2019 season that saw them finish the year ranked No. 21 in the AP Poll and with an impressive 38-6 Birmingham Bowl win over Boston College.

With much of their talent returning in 2020, the Bearcats are among the favorites to win the AAC. While a non conference win over Nebraska would not help their AAC record, it would be a massive confidence booster and prove to the nation they’re indeed contenders for an at large New Year’s Six bid out of the Group of Five.

With so much to play for, the Bearcats pull off the upset officially placing Scott Frost on the hot seat.

Final Score: Cincinnati 28 , Nebraska 24 (2-2)
