The state of Georgia gives a collective sigh every time they think of how they let Justin Fields leave campus in 2018. He was a major key for Ohio State in a 2019 season that came 23 yards away from a national championship appearance.

Fields was dominant in 2019 as a whole, finishing with 51 total touchdowns and just three interceptions (two of them coming in the semifinal against Clemson).

He is a big, strong-armed quarterback who is elusive in the pocket and can be a playmaker on the ground. Playmaker may be the best way to describe Fields. He is a guy who is not afraid of throwing the ball deep and can make all the throws you need. His ability to extend plays is up there with the best of them due to his big frame and agility moving in and out of the pocket.

Fields is talented enough to keep the Ohio State offense churning, despite losing guys like JK Dobbins and KJ Hill. He finished third in last year’s Heisman race, and the two players voted ahead of him are currently in the NFL.

Will Fields take the next step up and finish the job he started last year?
