Penn State Football: 3 keys for successful 2020 season
By Shane Lunnen
Penn State football is looking to take the next step into the elite category. What are the keys to a successful 2020 season?
Penn State has been knocking on the door of the College Football Playoff the last few seasons. In the past four years, they have three 11 win seasons with a Big Ten title and two New Year’s Six bowl victories plus another New Year’s Six appearance. They have been close but not quite elite.
James Franklin made some changes to his coaching staff this off season. The expectation from the fans is this could be the season it finally all comes together for the Nittany Lions.
The schedule is not easy of course with Big Ten East foes Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State always on the slate. However they do get the Buckeyes and Spartans at home. Iowa also visits Happy Valley but the Lions have to travel to Nebraska. They also have a non conference trip to Blacksburg to face Virginia Tech.
There is enough on the resume to say if the Lions finish with even one loss, they will be in the playoff discussion.
With the stakes being so high, most Nittany Lion fans are not going to settle for anything less than another double digit winning season and even that may not be enough to satisfy them.
What will be the keys to fueling the Nittany Lions success this year? Read on for our list of three keys.
