Pick Analysis. 3. player. Sept. 19. Eugene (Ore.). Hawaii Rainbow Warriors. 898. Scouting Report

Oregon will need to bounce back quickly after a loss to the Buckeyes and they should be able to do so with a home game against Hawaii.

The Rainbow Warriors will be under new leadership, with former Arizona State head coach Todd Graham taking over the program and the cupboard is not bare. Hawaii returns 12 starters and some talented receivers to last years fifth-ranked passing offense.

These two programs have not met since 1994 and Hawaii actually owns a three game winning streak over the Ducks. Hawaii is a team that could have benefitted a lot from spring practice to adjust to a new coach, but they were not afforded that opportunity and it will difficult to adjust quickly. Oregon wins comfortably here.

Final Score: Oregon 45, Hawaii 17 (2-1)

player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Sept. 26. Colorado Buffaloes. 4. 857. Boulder (Colo.)

In the Pac-12 opener for the Ducks, they will be out on the road taking on a rebuilding Colorado team. The Buffaloes return 16 starters, but will be without their two best offensive players in Laviska Shenault Jr. and Steven Montez and that will make a huge difference.

Colorado will also be on their third head coach in three seasons with former UCLA head coach and Miami Dolphins assistant Karl Dorrell taking over in Boulder. He had success at UCLA and is highly-regarded in coaching circles.

Colorado has enough experience to return to their first bowl game since 2016, the year they made a run to the Pac-12 title game. Quarterback play and how they replace Shenault’s big-play ability will be the keys to the season and those won’t be easy against a suffocating Ducks defense.

Oregon gets Pac-12 play started on the right foot.

Final Score: Oregon 38, Colorado 14 (3-1, 1-0 Pac-12)
