The 2020 season is right around the corner and Arkansas football is entering a new era yet again. How do the Razorbacks’ opponents stack up?

Poor Arkansas. After a four-win season in 2017, the program was in need of a change so it hired Chad Morris from SMU to turn things around. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen as the Razorbacks won a total of four games in the two seasons that he was there.

Morris didn’t make it completely through that second year as he was fired with two games left on the schedule. He finished his Arkansas career 4-18 with nine straight losses and no wins over Power Five opponents — yes, that means a winless SEC record.

Sam Pittman has since taken over and the excitement is back in Fayetteville. He’s a solid recruiter and has experience in the program. He’s the perfect fit for the Razorbacks.

The 2020 season isn’t going to be pretty, however. The Razorbacks are undergoing a massive rebuild and will be starting a new quarterback (likely Florida transfer Feleipe Franks) and they’re facing an incredibly tough schedule. When the reigning national champions aren’t the toughest, or even second-toughest, game on the schedule, you know things are going to be rough.

Luckily for the Razorbacks, they haver just three true road games in 2020 and one comes against a true SEC contender.
