1. Alabama vs. Texas A&M

For a long time, Alabama was the team to beat in college football. The Crimson Tide seemed unstoppable as Nick Saban took them on a legendary nine-year stretch where they would win five national championships.

More recently though, Alabama has hit their lowest final AP Poll ranking in almost a decade. Granted, they finished ranked in the top 10 with a convincing bowl win, but still.

Despite Alabama’s downfall being pretty much entire based on wishful thinking, the Crimson Tide did just come off of a rough season. If almost any other team drops three wins and loses their starting quarterback, they would not be projected as a strong squad.

Despite this, they return a ton of talent on both sides of the ball and are considered a heavy contender for the national championship.

Their biggest potential trap game comes against Texas A&M, a team that is as talented as anybody in the country, the week before the Iron Bowl. Not as a jab at the Aggies, but Alabama will almost certainly be favored to win this game.

That being said, A&M is looking at an extremely talented roster themselves and the Crimson Tide could potentially be distracted by the lights and cameras all focused on their next week’s matchup against Auburn, who has gotten the best of them in recent years.
