His best performance came during the Gamecocks’ upset victory over Georgia in Athens as Mukuamu grabbed three interceptions, including returning one for a 53-yard touchdown. He was one of only four players in the country with three picks in a game in 2019.

The stellar week earned him Walter Camp National Defensive Player of the Week, the Chuck Bednarik Award National Player of the Week, the Bronko Nagurski Trophy National Defensive Player of the Week, National Defensive Player of the Week and SEC Defensive Player of the Week awards.

In 2019, he completed 61 percent of his passes as he threw for 2,897 yards and 20 touchdowns with just nine interceptions while adding a single-season career-high 508 yards and eight scores on the ground.

Mond enters 2020 as Athlon’s All-SEC fourth-team quarterback.
