Oregon football has arguably the most talented roster in the Pac-12 and should be the favorite to bring home another conference title.

Oregon is fresh off a Pac-12 title and had a real shot at making the College Football Playoff last season. A late-season upset loss at Arizona State took them out of contention.

The Ducks’ only other loss came in the season opener against Auburn after a game-winning touchdown pass from Bo Nix with 10 seconds left.

In the Pac-12 title game against Utah, who had a shot to make the College Football Playoff, the Ducks completely dominated, winning 37-15. Oregon looked more like the team competing for the playoff than Utah did. The Ducks then went on to beat Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl to cap another successful season in Eugene.

With Justin Herbert now in the NFL, Tyler Shough will be leading the offense this year. He’s a former four-star recruit and looked good in his limited action last season. There’s a lot of talent returning to this Ducks team and for good reason they are currently listed as the favorite to win the conference.

Oregon has its sights set higher than just a conference title and is looking to get back to the College Football Playoff for the first time since the inaugural 2014 season. To do that, though, they likely will need to repeat as Pac-12 champions.

Here are three reasons the Ducks can win the conference again.
