Alabama football is entering the 2020 season looking to get back to the College Football Playoff and win an SEC title. This schedule would help.

The 2020 season is almost upon us — at least if you’re an SEC, ACC or Big 12 fan — and that means the SEC is one step closer to releasing its official schedule.

As of Aug. 15, the conference has yet to lay out the dates of games and there’s still plenty of talk about postponing the 2020 season but nothing official has happened yet. The SEC may wait until another Power Five conference, like the ACC, decides to move its season to the spring to avoid the further spread of COVID-19 among student-athletes.

Many SEC fans still believe that the 2020 season will take place this fall and if that’s the case, the schedule release will have plenty of meaning.

For Alabama fans, it’s a chance for the Tide to get back to the SEC title game after missing out last year and potentially end its one-year absence from the College Football Playoff. Alabama has plenty of talent returning despite losing guys like Tua Tagovailoa, Henry Ruggs III and Jerry Jeudy.

Nick Saban has arguably the most talented team in the SEC returning and the Tide will be back to looking like the No. 1 or second-best team in the country to start the season.

Alabama already knows its 2020 opponents, with two cross-divisional foes added, but let’s take a look at what the perfect 10-game schedule would look like.
