player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Oct. 10. College Station (Texas). Texas A&M Aggies. 3. 873

The last time that these two programs met in 2012, it was Texas A&M’s first game as a member of the SEC and a guy named Johnny Manziel was the quarterback for the Aggies. Fast forward eight years and both of these teams are hoping to challenge for their division titles and have big breakthrough seasons.

The Aggies are returning a wealth of experience and Kellen Mond is back for his fourth season as the starting quarterback in College Station and the Aggies have 18 starters back and Jimbo Fisher has pulled in two straight top 10 recruiting classes. All of these reasons have Aggies fans dreaming big in 2020.

Whether or not there are fans in the stadium or not, Kyle Field is one of the toughest places to play in the country. The Aggies’ defense is well suited to play against the Gators passing attack and Texas A&M will get some momentum and get a huge victory against Florida.

Final Score: Florida 24, Texas A&M 27 (2-1)

Pick Analysis. Gainesville (Fla.). 4. Scouting Report. Oct. 17. LSU Tigers. player. 817

Florida was one of the few teams that came close to beating LSU last season and it was one of the best games of the year in the country. This year, the Gators get the Tigers in The Swamp and this will be a game that Florida needs to win if they hope to win the SEC East.

Florida and LSU are similar in ways in 2020. Both are losing top playmakers at key positions and how quickly they replace them will likely dictate the success that either team will have this season.

Dan Mullen is 1-1 so far against the Tigers as head coach and both games have been excellent. While I don’t think LSU will replicate last season’s magic on offense, I still believe that they will be dangerous with a dynamic receiving duo of Ja’Marr Chase and Terrace Marshall, and they have the best defensive back in the country in Derek Stingley.

Myles Brennan is a capable successor for Joe Burrow and he will be fine. These two teams are razor close and this game is a coin flip in my opinion. Give me LSU in another classic.

Final Score: Florida 24, LSU 28 (2-2)
