Athens (Ga.). Tennessee Volunteers. player. Pick Analysis. Oct. 10. 3. 839. Scouting Report

This could be the first intriguing Georgia vs. Tennessee game in several years. The Volunteers are returning several starters, including offensive linemen Trey Smith. This is also another former coordinator matchup with Tennessee offensive coordinator Jim Chaney facing off against his old team.

This will be Georgia’s trap game this season. A week after the Bulldogs record a big win over Auburn and a week before they travel to Tuscaloosa to face Alabama is a tricky spot to have this game.

The Volunteers are ready for this one just yet but it seems like Jeremy Pruitt is going in the right direction. Maybe 2021, Tennessee fans. Georgia wins this one and moves on to their monster clash with Alabama.

Final Score: Tennessee 24, Georgia 35 (3-0)

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 829. Oct. 17. Tuscaloosa (Ala.). Alabama Crimson Tide. 4. player

This will be the biggest game in the SEC during the 2020 season. This is the type of game that I won’t sleep all week for because I’ll be looking forward to it.

Alabama has owned Georgia during Nick Saban’s tenure and broke their hearts the last couple of meetings. While they have to replace record-setting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, running back Najee Harris, receivers Jaylen Waddle and Devonta Smith and tackle Alex Leatherwood are all back to spearhead the Crimson Tide’s offense and linebacker Dylan Moses will be back on defense after missing last year due to a knee injury.

There are a couple of things working against Georgia in this game: one, the game is in Tuscaloosa, which is a very difficult place to win football games and two, with all of their new starters and without spring ball to incorporate a brand new offensive scheme, this is a big test very early in the season and the timing and place are not working in favor of the Dawgs here — which is why I think the Crimson Tide will prevail.

I believe there will be a rematch in Atlanta for the SEC Championship later however.

Final Score: Georgia 24, Alabama 27 (3-1)
