player. Arkansas Razorbacks. 1. 844. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Sept. 26. Fayetteville (Ark.)

For the season opener, Georgia will travel to Arkansas where they will face off against former assistant Sam Pittman.

Arkansas was a miserable team last year, finishing 2-10 and going winless in the SEC for the second straight season. The Razorbacks hired Pittman away from Georgia and he won’t have a ton to work with in 2020.

The Razorbacks are bringing in former Florida quarterback Felipe Franks to be the quarterback for this season and he will be working with new offensive coordinator Kendal Briles, who was at Florida State last season. Franks will have the luxury of handing off to one of the SEC’s best running backs in Rakeem Boyd, but that is where the good news ends for the Hogs.

Arkansas is facing a a gauntlet of a schedule and it is likely they won’t win a game this season. Pittman will need to be grooming young talent and looking to the future this season and Georgia’s new offense could not have asked for a better opponent for their first game. Dawgs win big here.

Final Score: Georgia 56, Arkansas 10 (1-0)

Auburn Tigers. 2. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Oct. 3. Athens (Ga.). player. 842

This will be a big test for the Bulldogs and will be a chance to show the country that they are serious contenders and the good thing is this game is between the hedges.

Auburn will field yet another tough defense, despite losing Derrick Brown, Marlon Davidson and Noah Igbinoghene to the NFL. The key to this game will be seeing if Bo Nix takes another step in his sophomore season for the Tigers. He won SEC rookie of the year last season, despite inconsistency and trouble with his accuracy all season long. Auburn is breaking in a lot of new starters on both lines and this will be a tough test so early for the Tigers.

I personally think Nix is overrated and won’t be able to put enough points on the SEC’s best defense to steal a win in Athens. Georgia’s defense wins this game for them.

Final Score: Auburn 20, Georgia 31 (2-0)
