Sept. 26. Missouri Tigers. 1. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Columbia (Mo.). 822

The Missouri Tigers are possibly one of the unluckiest teams in the SEC as they were assigned matchups against Alabama and LSU for their extra SEC games. Alabama will open on their season on the road against the Tigers in Columbia for the first time since 2012.

The Tide have beaten the Tigers by an average of 30 points in the span of three matchups since Missouri joined the SEC in 2012. The last time the two teams played each other was a 39-10 home victory over the Tigers on Oct. 13.

This season, the Tigers are looking to rebuild as a program with a new head coach and new program outlook. It will take a while for the Tigers to develop some high-power efficiency on the offensive side of the ball. The Crimson Tide will have many reliable defenders to shut down any chance of an offensive spark for the Tigers in week one.

Look for Crimson Tide running back Najee Harris to establish his presence early for their high-power balanced offense. A strong performance against Missouri could spark a strong Heisman Trophy campaign for Harris.

Final Score: Alabama 43, Missouri 6 (1-0)

Tuscaloosa (Ala.). Oct. 3. Texas A&M Aggies. 2. player. 873. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

The Aggies have been a serious contender in the SEC West since they joined the conference in 2012. They have done so by beating the Crimson Tide in 2012, which was the rise of Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Johnny Manziel. Since that 2012 loss in Tuscaloosa, the Crimson Tide have won the next seven matchups.

Last season, the Crimson Tide beat the Aggies with a 47-28 score in College Station. The Aggies are looking to make a bigger impact in the SEC West this season as they opened up the season ranked 13th in the nation by the Coaches Poll. The last time, the Aggies won more than 10 games in a season was the 2012 season.

Both the Aggies and the Tide have plenty of talent returning on both sides of the ball. The Aggies have eight offensive and defensive starters returning in 2020. There will be more expectations for the Aggies to compete against higher caliber opponents.

There will be more expectations from the Crimson Tide on both sides of the ball with the talent they will have returning. This will be the home-opener for the Crimson Tide which will be a significant moment for the team under new guidelines due to the pandemic of COVID-19.

Final Score: Alabama 42, Texas A&M 27 (2-0)
