Scouting Report. Oxford (Miss.). 3. 841. Pick Analysis. Oct. 10. Ole Miss Rebels. player

Every week is important for coach Saban and the Crimson Tide. Week three will bring a huge dynamic setting in motion for both the Crimson Tide and the Rebels. Nick Saban is 19-0 against his former assistants dating back to 2010. The victory over Texas A&M and Jimbo Fisher would make it 20-0.

Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin is ready to make a big noise in his first season with the program by beating his former mentor in coach Saban. He was the former offensive coordinator of the Crimson Tide for three seasons (2014-16) as he helped develop a high-powered offense.

Since his departure, Kiffin has been no stranger to throwing shade at the Crimson Tide and Saban. Now that he is in the SEC, Kiffin has to put his money where his mouth is and create a team efficient enough to beat the high-powered product of the Tide on the field.

The Rebels have great dynamic offensive talent returning as well as some key defenders that could stop significant offenses. While they have some dynamic talent, they lack the explosive capabilities to create some high-powered measures that can compete with the Tide.

Final Score: Alabama 38, Ole Miss 24 (3-0)

Pick Analysis. Oct. 17. Tuscaloosa (Ala.). 814. Scouting Report. Georgia Bulldogs. 4. player

Nick Saban has beaten two assistants in a row and now he must face another in Georgia head coach Kirby Smart. Although Saban is 2-0 against Smart, he has given the Crimson Tide the most trouble in conference play. The two victories for Crimson Tide versus the Bulldogs were the 26-23 overtime victory in the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship and their 35-28 victory in the 2018 SEC Championship.

Both games had to feature a significant quarterback switch for the Crimson Tide to get back into the game. This will be the first regular-season matchup between Saban and his former assistant. The last regular-season matchup between the Crimson Tide and the Bulldogs was in the 2015 season.

Alabama currently has a five-game winning streak versus the Bulldogs with the last Bulldogs’ victory coming in 2007.

The Bulldogs lost some key veterans on both offense and defense from the previous season. While they have some reliable transfers and a loaded secondary, they will be lacking in other areas of the game. This will be a key game for Alabama and Georgia as the winner will have a significant foot ahead of the other SEC teams for the conference championship.

Final Score: Alabama 31, Georgia 27 (4-0)
