SEC football released its 2020 schedule on Monday night and everyone is excited. What games should you keep an eye on each week?

The Southeastern Conference opens on Sept. 26 and everyone is ready to go. Let’s go through it, week by week, and talk about those games that you should be watching.

I will pick the best game of each week and an honorable mention.

Week 1

Game of the week: Mississippi State at LSU

Out of the games listed in the opening weekend of the SEC season, this one has the most excitement in my opinion. With Mike Leach now at Mississippi State and the fact that Death Valley will likely be silent without fans in the stands, this one could get interesting. K.J. Costello and Kylin Hill could get going and things could get exciting in Baton Rouge.

However, the defense that the Tigers are putting on the field has talent in its own right and their receiving corps are strong.

Honorable mention: Tennessee at South Carolina

Some people may be looking past this one, but I’ve got this one as the most toss-up game of Week 1. The Volunteers will head to South Carolina and both of these teams are considered bottom dwellers in the SEC East in terms of comparison to the likes of Florida and Georgia.

Who starts 1-0 in the East as they try to keep up with the Gators and the Bulldogs? Is it Jeremy Pruitt and the Volunteers who ended the season on a hot streak or Will Muschamp and the Gamecocks who knocked off Georgia a year ago?
