Week 5

Game of the week: Auburn at Ole Miss

This week didn’t have all that great of a slate in comparison to Week 4, but we have a good matchup here in Auburn and Ole Miss. Under new head coach Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss will look to get better in a hurry. They’ve struggled on the defensive side, but one could only hope for the sake of a good matchup that gets better.

The quarterback decision hasn’t been made for the Rebels. For Auburn though, it’s Bo Nix from the start and he looked pretty good down the stretch last season.

Honorable mention: Alabama at Tennessee

This one makes the list based solely on the pageantry of it all. This is a big game for the Volunteers though. Can they hang with the big guns? Is it really “The Decade of the Vols”? If it is, a great way to kick it off would be to beat Alabama here in Week 5.

Do I think they have the ability to knock off the Tide and effectively knock them out of the race for the West, especially if the Tide already fell to Georgia the week before? Not a bit, but I’ll still be watching.
