Week 8

Game of the week: Alabama at LSU

Another no-brainer. If you aren’t excited about this matchup this year, you aren’t a true college football fan. This is the SEC West decider in my mind. Yes, the media thinks that Texas A&M and Auburn could play a factor in the West, but they won’t. Not really. Unless some miracle happens and the Aggies knock off Alabama in Week 2, this is it. Myles Brennan vs. Mac Jones. It’s on in Tiger Stadium.

Honorable mention: Auburn at Mississippi State

Speaking of Auburn, for them to stay in any kind of conversation for the West, they will have to win in Starkville in Week 8. This is an interesting matchup to me though.

Mississippi State, now led by Mike Leach, and Auburn led by the Gus Bus. This may just be that head-scratcher loss that the Tigers get to keep them out of the SEC West conversation. Who knows?
