Georgia football is faced with the task of replacing a lot of starters, leaving the ranks open for rising stars. Here’s three of those potential risers.

The Georgia Bulldogs have been the team to beat in the SEC East the last couple of years. Their dominance in both recruiting and on the field play awarded them an SEC title victory over Auburn and a national championship appearance in 2017, which they lost to Alabama in overtime.

Let’s take a second to look at the talent that Georgia lost from last season:

  • QB Jake Fromm (fifth-round pick by Bills)
  • RB D’Andre Swift (second-round pick by Lions)
  • TE Charlie Woerner (sixth-round pick by 49ers)
  • OT Andrew Thomas (top-five pick by Giants)
  • OT Isaiah Wilson (first-round pick by Titans)
  • OG Solomon Kindley (fourth-round pick by Dolphins)
  • LB Tae Crowder (fifth-round pick by Giants)

There is a lot of really great talent there, three picks from the first two days of the NFL draft, especially on offense. Georgia has a bit of a high-profile quarterback competition on its hands, too, with the arrival of transfer quarterbacks JT Daniels (USC) and Jamie Newman (Wake Forest).

Regardless, the Bulldogs have continued to dominate the SEC East, even with the recent rise of Florida under head coach Dan Mullen. They even landed the consensus best recruiting class in the nation for 2020, according to Sports Illustrated, Rivals and 247Sports.

Here are three players who should break out in a tremendous way this season.
