The transfer out of LSU has a lot to prove this season, especially after the team he left won it all last year in spectacular fashion.

Despite being one of the top safety prospects in the 2018 recruiting class and the second highest rated player in LSU’s recruiting class, Joseph decided  he had enough and packed his bags out of Baton Rouge after only one season with the Tigers, playing in six games and recording 12 tackles and one pass deflection.

Joseph got to Lexington just before the start of last season and had to sit out due transfer rules.

The addition of Joseph to Kentucky’s secondary adds depth to an already talented group. It will be interesting to see where defensive backs coach Steve Clinkscale places Joseph.

The Cats already have a rising star in safety Yusef Corker who led the team in tackling from the safety position with 74 on the year. It will be interesting to see if Clinkscale puts Joseph at corner or share split reps at safety with Corker.
