After a devastating injury during the second half of the game versus Kentucky that effectively ended his season, Feleipe Franks’ successor, Kyle Trask, led the Gators the rest of the way. He led a comeback to beat the Wildcats and ended the season on a win over Virginia in the Orange Bowl.

After the Orange Bowl win and an 11-win season, Franks knew that Trask had earned his stripes to be the front-runner to start next season after throwing for close to 3,000 yards with a touchdown to interception ratio of 27-5.

Instead of wasting his final season of eligibility trying to compete with Trask, Franks entered the transfer portal and landed at Arkansas.

Arkansas could definitely use Franks’ services after only a two-win season with no legitimate quarterback under center. The reps were split between Nick Starkel and Ben Hicks who struggled all season.

With the addition of Franks, and the return of running back Rakeem Boyd who had quite a season last year leaves Arkansas in a great position to improve on their record and possibly make a bowl game in a always-tough SEC West division.
