With Ja’Marr Chase’s decision to opt out of the 2020 season, these LSU football receivers could help replace what he brought to the field.

Top receiving prospect Ja’Marr Chase has opted out of the 2020 college football season. As a sophomore in 2019, he won the Biletnikoff as the nation’s top receiver after an 84-reception, 1,780-yard and 20-touchdown season.

With Justin Jefferson gone, Chase was primed for another huge season in 2020. Instead the likely top 10 pick will be sitting out and getting ready for the 2021 NFL Draft. This is another huge blow to the Tigers who had a record-tying 14 players selected last April. Chase was one of the top returning guys for LSU and a big reason why this team had a shot of competing for another SEC title.

This is obviously a huge hit for the Tigers’ offense that already lost their Heisman-winning quarterback, leading receiver, top rusher and four starting offensive lineman.

Without Chase we could see a struggling Tigers offense in Scott Linehan’s first season as passing game coordinator. Ed Orgeron has recruited extremely well at LSU especially at the receiver position, there’s still a lot of talented guys on the roster who could be prime for a huge season.

Look out for these three guys to help replace the production lost from Chase.
