If you look up the term “trap game” in the dictionary, there’s probably a picture of this exact matchup between Notre Dame and Georgia Tech in Atlanta.

A week before the Irish are set to host the potential No. 1 team in the nation, Notre Dame will hit the road to take on a bottom-dweller from a year ago that’s in year two of the Geoff Collins era.

However, the Yellow Jackets have way too many areas to improve on which will make this trap game that much more winnable for the Irish.

Final Score: Notre Dame 34, Georgia Tech 16 (7-0, 6-0)

And here we are at the game that everyone has been waiting for and probably the premier matchup of the 2020 ACC football season. Notre Dame hosts Clemson in what could be a playoff preview, but probably won’t barring both teams going 10-1 in the regular season and everything else playing out perfectly.

Notre Dame hasn’t forgotten about the thrashing Clemson gave it a couple of years ago in the playoff and Ian Book was the quarterback at the time. He wants revenge.

Unfortunately, Clemson has Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne back which means this offense will be humming and the defense reloaded. I don’t see the Tigers losing a conference game this season even though this will be their toughest matchup.

Final Score: Clemson 30, Notre Dame 21 (7-1, 6-1)
