1. 839. Sept. 26. Columbia (S.C.). Tennessee Volunteers. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

For the SEC and season opener, this will be a game of evenly-matched teams who will be fighting to see who is the third-best team behind Georgia and Florida in the SEC East. Tennessee is thought by some to be a contender in the east and they will need to get a win here if they want to back up some of that hype.

Despite this game being at home, I actually see the Volunteers coming into Columbia and pulling off a win here. Tennessee ended last season on a six-game winning streak and return a lot of production from that team and the Vols will be looking to be relevant for the first time in what feels like ages.

Highly-contested game that goes to Tennessee.

Final Score: South Carolina 31, Tennessee 35 (0-1)

Oct. 3. 2. Scouting Report. Gainesville (Fla.). Florida Gators. player. 840. Pick Analysis

This will be when South Carolina meets its match and suffers its second loss of the season.

Florida will be a top 10 team heading into the season and will be looking to win the SEC East and possibly be a College Football Playoff dark-horse. The Gators will be dynamite on offense with Kyle Trask returning at quarterback and all of the offensive firepower will be too much for the Gamecocks to handle on the road and be able to pull the upset.

Final Score: South Carolina 17, Florida 35 (0-2)
