Auburn football has had only one 10-win season since 2013, but is this the year the Tigers make their first playoff appearance?

With one of the toughest schedules in 2019, the Auburn Tigers could have had a terrible year in terms of wins and losses. The Tigers finished last season with a 9-4 record, going 5-3 in conference play, earning them a third place finish in the SEC West.

The Tigers’ three conference losses were to the Georgia Bulldogs, the LSU Tigers and the Florida Gators, who were all ranked inside the top 10 when Auburn played them. The fourth loss of the season came at the hands of the Minnesota Golden Gophers in the Outback Bowl.

While the Tigers did lose four games in 2019, there was still a lot to take away. The Tigers four losses were by an average of seven points per game, with three of the four games being decided by one possession. And while they had some quality losses, the Tigers also picked up some big time wins over the Oregon Ducks (ranked 11th), the Texas A&M Aggies (ranked 17th), and their Iron Bowl rival, the Alabama Crimson Tide (ranked 5th).

The Auburn Tigers found some balance a year ago and look to build off the high-points from 2019 heading into the 2020 season. With almost every prominent LSU player opting out for the 2020 season it seems as if the SEC West title will be up for the taking this college football season and the Auburn Tigers will have plenty of opportunities to claim that title.

Auburn’s schedule this season will be just as tough this year as it was a year ago but the Tigers could surprise many by being the top dog in the conference. But they’ll need quarterback Bo Nix to make to make some much needed improvements in his game and will need the defense to fill the void that was left by the departure of defensive tackle, Derrick Brown.

So how will the Auburn Tigers’ 2020 season play out? Well you have come to the right place. Here is everything you need to know about the 2020 Tigers.
