2. BYU dominated on the ground

There were some question marks on BYU and their running backs coming into the game, and quickly those concerns were put to rest.

Lopini Katoa and Tyler Allgeier both were unstoppable as a one-two punch and had creases all night. Their field vision and overall physicality were too much for the Navy defense, and it showed just about every time BYU ran the football.

Allgeier led the team with 14 carries and 132 rushing yards and scored two touchdowns. Katoa added 80 yards on 10 carries and collected the hat-trick, scoring two touchdowns on the ground and another one through the air from quarterback Zach Wilson, affectionately known as the “Morman Manziel”.

The run game of BYU was absolutely unstoppable, gaining a total of 301 yards on 49 carries and five touchdowns. The Cougars punted just once all night, mostly thanks to the dominant run attack that the Cougars were able to utilize at will.
