3. The offensive line is still a work in progress

One of the main concerns that this Miami football team had was how the offensive line would  fare and after Thursday night, that question still remains.

The offensive line allowed D’Eriq King to be pressured far too often, especially on obvious passing situations and if it were not for his ability to scramble, this unit would have given up multiple sacks.

UAB consistently won the edge and got in the backfield, even on some run plays and the schedule is only going to get harder and it will be on this line to make sure that they keep King protected.

Miami hired Garin Justice away from UNLV to improve this unit and Thursday night showed that he still has a lot of work to do for the Hurricanes to get better up front. It was not all bad, as the Hurricanes rushed for over 300 yards and paved the way for some big runs, but it was the pass protection that was the biggest issue and the focus going forward should be on improving this as the year goes on.
