ACC football power rankings, Week 3: Clemson looks dominant yet again

9. Virginia Cavaliers (0-0)
The rivalry game between the Virginia Cavaliers and the Virginia Tech Hokies scheduled for this weekend has been postponed due to COVID-19 concerns. As of the time of this writing, no makeup date has bee scheduled. For now, we’ll have to wait to see what the post-Bryce Hopkins era looks like until Sept. 26 when they host the Duke Blue Devils.
Redshirt sophomore Brennan Armstong gets the nod at quarterback for the Cavaliers. There are, however, significant questions for the offense. In addition to the loss of Bryce Perkins, they lost both leading receivers, Hasan Dubois and Joe Reed. The offensive line was downright awful last season. Perkins ran as much as he did to escape pressure in addition to designed runs.
They did not have any semblance of a running attack either. The Cavaliers averaged less than four yards per rush last season. They return good defenders, including Charles Snowden, but need to replace Bryce Hall and linebacker Jordan Mack.
