5. Chuba Hubbard will have 200 rushing yards vs. Tulsa

Oklahoma State running back Chuba Hubbard had a great first year as the full-time starter. Last season, he rushed for 2,094 yards and 21 touchdowns on 328 carries. His rushing yards were second all-time in program history for a single season behind only Heisman Trophy rusher Barry Sanders.

Hubbard had four performances where he rushed for over 200 rushing yards in 2019. One of those games was at Tulsa where he rushed for 256 yards and three touchdowns on 32 carries. This was one of his biggest performances of the season for Hubbard that pushed him into the Heisman Trophy conversation.

The Cowboys will start their season at home against the Golden Hurricane, who will also start their season on Saturday. The Golden Hurricane only return three starters, two from the front six, from last season on a defense that was ranked 90th in rushing yards allowed per game (185.1). This will be the first game for the eager Cowboys that many claim the second-best team in the Big 12.

Oklahoma State returns eight starters from last season on an offense that was ranked 35th in the nation in points per game (32.5) and 17th in the nation in rushing yards per game (229.6). Oklahoma State will rely on their top players to open up the season and make a statement to the rest of the Big 12, especially to their rivals, No. 3 Oklahoma.
