Not much movement came from the college football’s Week 4 AP Top 25, but plenty of opportunities await as the SEC starts play this week.

The lack of marquee games meant that this week would be quiet in terms of movement in the AP Top 25, but that does not meant that there would be no intrigue when it came out. With the Big Ten deciding to resume play on Oct. 24, it feels like there is an asterisk every time a new poll comes out since none of those teams can be ranked until they actually resume play.

All eyes were on the Miami and Louisville game on Saturday night and Miami seemed to make a statement that would earn them a move up in the polls on Sunday and with the loss, the Cardinals might just drop out of the poll altogether.

There were other games on Saturday that had an impact. UCF looked like they will not miss a beat on the offensive side of the ball and the Golden Knights defense forced some turnovers that allowed them to pull away from Georgia Tech, who was riding their momentum from their Week 1 victory over Florida State.

Marshall scored a big victory on Saturday, beating Appalachian State and declaring themselves a contender for the Group of Five spot in the New Year’s Six game this season.

With the SEC starting play this week, expect more movement and intrigue when the next AP Top 25 comes out.

Here are the winners and losers from the Week 4 AP poll.
