3. Oklahoma Sooners (1-0)

Oklahoma was off for the third week of the season after absolutely dominating Missouri State 48-0 in Week 2. The nation and the media feel good about their thrashing of the Bears and the Heisman hopes of redshirt freshman quarterback Spencer Rattler.

A win over an FCS-level program that went 1-10 is not a real test. The Sooners will soon step into Big 12 play where they will be tested on both sides of the ball.

This Saturday, the Sooners will host Kansas State which was on a bye after suffering an embarrassing 35-31 loss at home to Arkansas State. The Sooners are looking to avenge their tough 48-41 road loss to the Wildcats last season.

When conference play starts, all previous games are thrown out the window.

Sooners coach Lincoln Riley likes to win aggressive matchups against opposing defenses. Rattler is an explosive passer that connects to his wide receivers deep often. He can also do some damage on the ground. The game against the Wildcats will help the Sooners find a legitimate No. 1 receiver in either Marvin Mims or Charleston Rambo.

Defensively, they will face more pressure as they will face more sustainable offenses in the Big 12. The Wildcats are a team that likes to find matchup problems through the mid-range passing game and running game.

This will be a different game for the Sooners as they are a 28-point favorite over the Wildcats.
