Texas A&M Football: 3 bold predictions vs. Vanderbilt in Week 4
By Shelbie Warr
Texas A&M football takes on Vanderbilt at home to open the 2020 season, looking to build off of a Texas Bowl win. Let’s talk bold predictions.
The Aggies are coming off of a bowl game win over Oklahoma State and are looking to build on that momentum going into the 2020 season and that starts with a matchup against the Vanderbilt Commodores.
The ‘Dores haven’t named a starting quarterback as of yet and the game is just around the corner, so things could get interesting in Aggieland on Saturday.
Let’s get bold, shall we?
3. Texas A&M will put up at least 35 points
This Aggie offense is facing an experienced defense at Vanderbilt. They have the top 11 tacklers returning and 26 of the top 28 back. However, I don’t think it will be enough to stop the Aggie offensive attack that features Kellen Mond, Isaiah Spiller, Ainias Smith and a horde of receivers that are ready to get their game on.
Look for Demond Demas to really come into his own as well as Jalen Preston. I am very excited about both of these guys this season and think that they could be difference makers on the offensive side of the ball for the Aggies. Look for Spiller to score at least twice and Smith to add one of his own. Maybe Mond will even get in on the scoring party.
The last time these two teams met it was a 25-0 win for the Aggies. I am predicting more scoring — early and often — as Texas A&M opens the 2020 season with a necessary win over the Commodores.
Now, let’s talk defense.
