1. Aaron Hansford leads the team in tackles

With Anthony Hines opting out, it is a next man up mentality for the Aggies and that next man is linebacker Aaron Hansford. The senior has been waiting in the wings for his time to shine and now is that time. He made a handful of starts over the years, despite losing 2018 to an injury, but has never really been the starting linebacker.

Now, with Hines on the bench, he gets that chance and I am sure he will make it worth it for everyone watching at Kyle Field and at home.

Hansford is joined by Buddy Johnson, who is good in his own right, but my money is on Aaron to come out of the gate swinging in Week 1 to lead the team in tackles.

Will he have help? Of course, other guys will be high up on the list including Johnson, his counterpart. However, it will be Hansford who leads the team in tackles and makes a game-changing play or two in the first half to really seal the deal for the Aggies.
