3. Seth Williams led the way for an athletic offense

Auburn’s defense dominated in the second half there is no doubt about it. But this Auburn offense stood out in terms of the athletes they bring to the table. Seth Williams was a dominant physical presence throughout, finishing with six catches for 112 yards and two touchdowns. The connection between him and Bo Nix will be great to watch during the 2020 season.

I was also impressed by guys who did not fill up the box score, but flashed great athleticism. Shaun Shivers displayed great balance and power early in the first quarter. Anthony Schwartz showed off his burst to make a few big plays with the limited touches he received.

Of course, Nix will be the Auburn player who has a bit of Heisman buzz going forward. Staying consistent was the biggest issue for Nix in 2019. He flashed great traits but was never able to sustain it throughout the season.

In this game, he seemed to have complete control and was able to make throws that very few college quarterbacks will be able to make. If Nix can hone in on his talent, Auburn can make a serious playoff push going forward.
