1. Baylor shouldn’t be forgotten in Big 12

It’s questionable as to why Baylor was not ranked in the top 25 in college football. Experts question what new head coach Dave Aranda can do with what Matt Rhule had built-in Waco.

People forget that quarterback Charlie Brewer has started over 30 games in his career. Baylor was also able to win 11 games last season with Brewer leading the charge. While the defense only returned two starters, the offense is loaded with weapons.

The country saw Texas almost lose in overtime to Texas Tech and Oklahoma get upset by Kansas State. If there was any season that Baylor could win the Big 12, this would be the year to take the conference.

Brewer looked solid Saturday and the running game between John Lovett and Trestan Ebner proves the Bears have a strong running game. The defense had the tough challenge of stopping Williams Jr. in Kansas’ backfield and made it look pretty easy.

Kansas may not be the best team to judge how good Baylor is, but it should be noted that the Bears beat the team they should have. Baylor beat Kansas in a convincing style that should at least get the attention of the Big 12.
