1. Iowa State’s running game is dangerous

It’s safe to say Breece Hall had arguably one of the best games of his career at Iowa State. Hall finished the game with 155 yards and a career-high three touchdowns in the win.

He was able to display big-play ability with two big runs that showed off his speed. TCU learned quickly that when Hall gets into the open field, they were not going to catch him.

Kene Nwangwu only had one carry in the game, but he made the most of it. He ran for a 49-yard touchdown in the third quarter.

Typically, Purdy is a factor in the running game as well, but Hall was able to take care of business. His performance helped lift Purdy who wasn’t quite himself on the field.

It was the Hall show for Iowa State which is what they expect out of their starting running back. This will be a strategy that the Cyclones will be following throughout the season as they will be trusting their running game to help them win games.
