2. Spencer Rattler shows promise, but made huge mistakes

Although the box score isn’t the prettiest, Spencer Rattler continues to show why the tradition of “QBU” isn’t going away anytime soon.

Rattler had more touchdowns than incompletions in the first half. Unfortunately, both of those incompletions were interceptions, off of a tipped pass and an underthrown pass.

Even with the interceptions, Rattler was extremely efficient when the throwing the football and surprisingly staying in the pocket.

Going through progressions and being patient as a quarterback is a veteran-esque trait. Rattler has that and has only started two games.

With all of that being said, Rattler looked rattled, late in the game when Kansas State was making the comeback. Scrambling in the pocket and looking uneasy.

It doesn’t help when a lot of Oklahoma’s skill position players are young, apart from Theo Howard. Everyone else has no more than multiple years of starting experience.

When needed the Freshman could not be clutch, as he threw his third and final interception to cap the game off.
