Texas A&M football struggled throughout the night against Vanderbilt, but came out with a win. What did we learn from this one?

If I’m the Aggies, this is not a game that I am proud of by any means. They ground out a victory against a Vanderbilt team that they were supposed to blow out and that doesn’t look good on anybody in Maroon, that much is for sure.

What did we learn about these teams?

3. Maybe choosing Ken Seals wasn’t a bad choice

Many people weren’t sure about choosing the true freshman at quarterback for Vanderbilt, especially not against a big defensive front like the Aggies.

However, Seals proved that he was the right choice based on his poise in the pocket and his ability to shake off the bad and move on in plays to the good.

Will he be great in the upcoming games? Probably not.

Just because he was able to fight off the Aggies on a bad day doesn’t mean he’s going to be play for play with the likes of LSU next week, but overall on this day in this game he wasn’t a bad decision. He did just enough to stay in the game, but ultimately not enough to win it.
