1. The Aggie defense did most of what it needed to do

There was a lot of bad in this game, but the Aggies’ defense did most of what it needed to do to win this game.

There were two interceptions, one by Leon O’ Neal and one by Demani Richardson. There were tackles on tackles by Buddy Johnson. They held Vanderbilt’s offense to 12 points, one field goal, one touchdown and a very odd safety.

Overall, this team did what they needed to do on the defensive side of the ball. It was the offense led by Kellen Mond and a group of young receivers that didn’t get it figured out. Isaiah Spiller got it figured out, but for some reason he didn’t see much field time.

No matter what the reason, this offense has a lot to figure out and the defense has quite a bit to build on.
