The first week of SEC football was quite exciting all around. Everyone played and we saw a couple shocking results. Where does everyone stand?

If you missed the week, let’s talk about what happened.

Auburn hosted Kentucky and despite being out-gained, Seth Williams and Bo Nix led the Tigers past the Wildcats, 29-13. Florida visited Ole Miss and that one went about how you would expect it. Ole Miss’ offense was fun to watch and featured both quarterbacks (mostly Matt Corral), but Florida, led by Kyle Trask and Kyle Pitts, put up 51 on the Rebels as they found their way to victory.

In the shocker of the afternoon, Mississippi State zipped past LSU 44-34, thanks in part to a big time run by Kylin Hill late in the game. Fans of the defending national champions haven’t lost in so long that they aren’t sure what to think at this point. Georgia ran past Arkansas 37-10, despite being down 7-5 at halftime. Alabama dominated from the first snap to the last, just like usual, topping Missouri 38-19.

In the nightcap, South Carolina put together quite the comeback, but fell short against Tennessee, 31-27. Then, Texas A&M hosted Vanderbilt in a game that was closer than it should have been. Ken Seals showed that he may just be the quarterback of the future in Nashville and the Aggie defense did enough to hold off Commodores, 17-12.

All of those things considered, we are talking SEC football power rankings. Who will come out on top and who are the bottom-dwellers of the conference after one week of action?
