BYU Football: 3 bold predictions vs. Louisiana Tech in Week 5
Louisiana Tech heads to Provo on Friday night to take on BYU football and the Cougars are looking to remain red-hot to start the season.
BYU has been on an absolute tear this season. The Cougars entered the season with serious hopes to represent the Group of Five (as an Independent) as a New Year’s Six invitee.
The Cougars are 2-0 after blowout victories over Navy and Troy, out-scoring them both by a combined 103-10 score. The offense has been humming along behind Zach Wilson and the defense has been dominant as well. No one saw the Cougars beating Navy the way they did, but it just goes to show how good this team can really be.
Louisiana Tech comes to town on Friday night an important battle and the Bulldogs, too, are 2-0 with an explosive offense to boot.
Let’s get bold.
3. Gunner Romney finishes with over 150 yards
Besides having a famous name, Gunner Romney has one heck of a game to match. He’s leading the Cougars in receiving with nine catches for 272 yards and a touchdown and he’s posted back-to-back games with at least 130 receiving yards. He’s going to post his season-high with 150 yards and two receiving touchdowns.
Romney has been Zach Wilson’s favorite target and that’s going to continue against Louisiana Tech’s horrid pass defense.
The Bulldogs allow over 330 yards per game through the air and Romney is going to make life very difficult for this secondary.
