Five quarterbacks from major college programs are stealing the spotlight in early-season Heisman Trophy conversations. Who are they?

With the SEC’s return to the playing field this past weekend, there are now a handful of signal-callers from various Power Five programs dominating on both the playing field and in coffee table conversations between sports writers across the country.

As the season continues, expect each individual’s stock to rise or drop as the 2020 college football season progresses through each continuing week for consideration to win the Heisman Trophy.

It can be expected that the competition will rev-up to full speed when the Big Ten and Pac-12 return to the playing field later this fall. What does this mean? Welp, we can expect a fully-loaded finish for players eyeing post-season honors and an extremely competitive playing field down the stretch.

Their talents are expected to be on full display, as each player fights to be included in what can be considered college football immortality. Who will join the likes of Desmond Howard, Herschel Walker, and Joe Burrow, plus many more in saying they are Heisman Trophy winners?

For now, here are five players to keep an eye on who hope to find themselves on the final stage of the Heisman Trophy ceremony at the Downtown Athletic Club in New York come this December.
