2. Alabama’s receiving corps is unbelievably good

The Crimson Tide played a complete game on Saturday against Texas A&M. However, it was their receiving corps that really made the game for the Tide.

First of all, Jaylen Waddle as expected did Jaylen Waddle things. He had five catches for 142 yards and a touchdown, averaging 28.4 yards a catch. He ran past the Aggie defense multiple times, making the Aggie secondary look silly multiple times, including an 87-yard score.

Waddle wasn’t even the leading receiver though. It was John Metchie who made the Aggies look just horrible in terms of secondary play. He caught five catches for 181 yards, including a 78-yard score in which, just like Waddle, he ran past the Aggie defense and was able to score twice.

Add in Devonta Smith who had six catches for 63 yards and a touchdown that was acrobatic as all get out and the two touchdowns that Najee Harris put up as a runner and the Alabama offense, well, ran past the Aggies just as their receivers did to the secondary of the Maroon and White.
